New here?How to use it
  1. Pick an area. Tap Physics, Society or Engineering, or drag the slider between them.
  2. Tick off what you've researched. Tap a tech card to mark it done; tap again to undo. Starting a new game? Press Mark starting techs first. Long-press a card (or right-click it on a computer) to see every step to that tech and how to improve your odds of getting it.
  3. Describe your empire. In Your empire, set the year, planets, starbases, authority, ethics, civics, origin and the DLC and mods you play with. As you play, add the traditions and ascension perks you adopt under In-game choices. Every card's odds update as you go.
  4. Read the odds. The big % on each card is the chance that tech shows up among your next research options in that area. Boosted and Reduced list the modifiers working on it now; Could boost shows what would raise it.
  5. Watch the tiers. A tier opens once you've researched enough techs in the tier below (6 in vanilla; ACOT's tiers 6 to 10 need 2 or 4). Finished tiers grey out, and techs you can't be offered yet are greyed with the reason. Tap a tier's heading to collapse or expand it; finished tiers and tiers that haven't opened start collapsed.
  6. Filter. Use search and the switches at the top, or the pills on each tier, to see only what's in the draw, what's left, or what you've done. Each tier also has Physics, Society and Engineering buttons so you can switch area without scrolling back up.
  7. Keep your progress. Use + for a new campaign. If you're signed in to Claude your progress is saved to your account; otherwise it stays in this browser. To move it to another device, use Copy backup code in the ≡ menu. To keep a copy or share a campaign, open the ≡ menu and use Save campaign to file; Load campaign file brings it back as a campaign.

Odds are estimates built from the game's own research weights. Events, special projects, debris and a few rare situations aren't modelled, and other mods you run can change things.

Your empire

3 options per area

Each tech's chance comes from its research weight and the game's modifiers for it. Set what's true for your empire, and the odds on every card update. Techs you've researched are counted automatically.
